People should not exploit animals
A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by people and that they should have the same rights as humans, while others argue that humans must employ animals to satisfy their various needs, including uses for food and research.
Discuss both views and give your opinion. Give reasons from your own experience and examples where relevant.
A rising number of individuals believe that animals should not be exploited by humans and should have the same rights as humans, whilst others think that humans must utilise animals to serve their many needs, such as for food and study. The following essay will discuss both views in detail and give a reasoned opinion.
First of all, animals are living creature, and they too have feelings. They are the creation of nature, just like human beings. So, humans do not have any right over them to mistreat them. Even if humans want to use them for industrial purposes, dead animals are an option instead of intentionally killing them to meet human needs.
On the other hand, it is undeniable that mankind needs the assistant of animals in various kinds of ways. Firstly, some animals are needed by humans to assist them in producing and providing foods. If humans do not kill animals for food purpose, there is a probability that the population of animals may exceed over humans, which can be dangerous due to the growing number of wild animals. Secondly, some animals are used in certain scientific experiments or medical testing for the sake of humanity. Several new drugs are being tested in some mice or monkeys before they are being tested on human beings.
In my opinion, the employment or the usage of animals to help human beings cannot be denied; however, they should be treated fairly. Further, scientists should keep working toward technologies that reduce reliance on animals.
To conclude, their exploitation must be stopped despite some benefits of using animals.
