Why do so many people still go without food?
In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry.
Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?
As the years go by, agricultural advancements grow. However, there are still those people who struggle to eat. The world’s population is growing quickly, which is one of the main causes of the dilemma. Increasing production and meeting demand will help solve this issue.
First, the rapid global population increase is the primary cause of this catastrophe. The need for food grows along with the population. Because of that, the public was unable to maintain the balance between production and demand. People will reach a problematic state if this circumstance continues for an extended period of time. Imagine a situation where there are 100 individuals there but not enough food to feed them all. This will inevitably lead to strife and violence among the populace. Therefore, hunger is crucial to keeping peace in the nation.
Second, increasing productivity is the solution to the aforementioned issue, and we should work to meet demand. There are numerous approaches to expanding the production of food crops. The government should encourage people to create a roof garden in their own apartment or home as one of the most effective methods. They would be able to buy fewer fruits and vegetables at the market if they did this. As an example, in the Indian town of Kancheepuram, residents produce only a small portion of the fruits and vegetables they require for their own consumption. They are reducing their needs and saving a lot of money by doing this.
To sum up, even though inadequate management and a failing economy exacerbate the hunger problem. Therefore, improving management and the economy are measures in the correct direction that government authorities can take to address the issue.
